In San Francisco, the busiest days for florists are Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and the weeks before Christmas, when prices rise and delivery windows fill up, so order several days ahead. Flower farms across California usually open only in season and post their pick-your-own days online. Check the listing for hours, delivery area and Google rating, and call to confirm what is in season.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 4–11 am. Note that it does not open on Sunday. I went to Pin Nursery on the recommendation of my florist who only uses the freshest flowers and plants and was not disappointed. I purchased 30 double stemmed phalaenopsis plants to decorate our church for Easter. The Orchids stood tall with several buds opened and another 8 to 10 buds on each stem surrounded by perfect green leaves as if they were being readied for a photograph. The beauty and their quality contributed to making our Easter environment a place of beauty and serenity. I would definitely recommend Pin Nursery as the place to go if you want quality orchids that will not break your budget and ask for Charlie Cheng, the owner as he will not disappoint you. Thanks again for the beautiful orchids!
